A small collection of papers of Rev. Harry A. Hersey, a Unitarian minister, including a small travel diary (with typescript) of a bicycle trip from Stoneham, Mass. to Booth Bay, Me. from 22 July - [13] Aug. 1892; two talks delivered by Hersey in Danbury, Ct. on his 70th and 75th birthdays; his reminiscences of Boston, 1870-90, written in 1945-46; clippings about Hersey's involvement in bicycling. Other family materials include a Christmas poem written about Hersey's father, Theodore, in 1949; an Adams family genealogy; and a paper by Hersey's daughter, Helen H. Dick, about Hersey given in 1979.

Harry Adams Hersey ( 1870-1950 ) attended Tufts College and Tufts' Crane Theological School, receiving his BA in 1903, his BD in 1906, and then his MA. Hersey served churches in Stafford, Connecticut ; West Somerville, Massachusetts ; Caribou, Maine ; Muncie, Indiana ; Canton, New York ; and Danbury, Connecticut .
